嵇康（224年－263年，一说223年－262年），字叔夜，汉族，三国时期魏国谯郡铚县（今安徽省濉溪县临涣镇）人，其先姓奚，会稽上虞人。著名思想家、音乐家文学家。正始末年与阮籍等竹林名士共倡玄学新风，主张“越名教而任自然”、“审贵贱而通物情”，为“竹林七贤”的精神领袖。他是曹魏宗室的女婿，曾娶曹操曾孙女，官曹魏中散大夫，世称嵇中散。后因得罪钟会，为其诬陷，而被司马昭处死，年仅39岁。
嵇康的主要成就在于，身后留下了许多文学作品，不仅反映出时代思想并且给后世思想界文学界带来许多启发。其次，及其人格魅力令他在当时亦属名士，他的事迹与遭遇对于后世的时代风气与价值取向有着巨大影响。在他身上集合了政治人物、文化人物、宗教人物等多重属性，后世学者对他的解读也趋于多元化。
